Impactful Communications

Skills of Influence (SOI) represent the key skills of leadership– as seen in one’s verbal, logical, and behavioral communication. We see impactful storytelling and authentic presence as a crucial development in any career, and aim to catalyze the management talent of the next generation of communicative leaders.

Mr. Mankad’s unique background as a professor, anchor, and management consultant provides his graduate and executive audiences an intersectional lens towards achieving authentic, impactful communications. From his professional expertise as a consultant at global strategy leaders McKinsey and Bain, to an anchor and host of international sports events with over 30 million in daily viewership, and to the non-profit director of the Clinton Foundation in India, Mr. Mankad’s curricula are based on deep understanding of diverse, international audiences and years of experience across industries and issues.

Spoken word as a career catalyst.

Avid communication has a rippling effect on one’s professional and personal lives. Through 26 iterations of the course, taught to over 600 students and 1,200 senior executives internationally, the Arts of Communication and Adaptive Leadership and Managerial Communications courses have had significant impact on each group’s growth as individuals.

Many of our alumni and participants named these courses and modules a "life-changing experience."

Teaching is more than a profession.

Mr. Mankad strives to create more confident, effective, and efficient communicators. Furthermore, we believe that skills of influence are “arts” that must be discussed, practiced and embodied (other wc: manifested, incorporated) through a variety of engaging exercises and materials. Sustained success stems both from individual effort and collective community, and Mr. Mankad acts as a catalyst to empower his audience in an engaging, collaborative, and fun environment for self-actualization.

This class also taught me two other aspects of improving public speaking that I would not have previously considered- 1) Having a team and 2) Immersion...

Watching the speeches of my classmates, teammates, and recognized speakers was incredibly powerful...

Listening to my group really allowed for learning through osmosis– I found powerful strategies I wanted to incorporate into my own speeches. Plus, having this space to be immersed in listening and delivering speeches has enabled me to become comfortable with public speaking again.
